Prices checked:
Prices are read off the Blacksmith tiles in CHALLS' September 10 guide, and attack comes from the detail panel that opens when you click a sword. Every sword we saw in that panel has Speed 1. The detail panel names the tier (Common, Mythic, Divine, Cosmic, Limited); for the swords he did not click, the table gives the tile color instead of guessing the tier name. Tile color and tier do not line up the way you might expect: the Blue Greatsword has a rainbow tile but a Mythic label.
Which sword to buy
- Early game: buy each sword as soon as the "New sword available at blacksmith!" message appears. Prices climb about 2.5x per step, so the next one is never far off.
- Before Death Castle (450K): the Death Scythe costs 500K, so decide whether you want the sword or the zone first. The zone unlocks code redemption, which is worth more.
- Late game: CHALLS' advice is to aim for the Cosmic swords if you can afford them. The Shogun Blade (100B) is labeled Cosmic, and the Starked Axe (38B) sits on the same indigo tile color.
The sword is your character's own weapon; your placed units fight on their own. If coins are tight, remember that CHALLS picks More Enemies, Spawn Rate and Unit Slots as the best upgrades, and those raise your coin income.
Weapons FAQ
What is the best weapon in Defeat Anime RNG?
Among the swords you can buy with coins, the Shogun Blade: Cosmic tier, 24,000 attack, 100B coins. The Limited Nail Sword is not sold for coins; its panel says it is 40% better than your best sword instead of giving a fixed attack number.
How do I get a Divine weapon?
Buy one at the Blacksmith. The two Divine swords are the Ghoul Killer (14,985 attack, 5.8B coins) and the Executioner (17,534 attack, 15B coins). Divine units are a separate thing; see the units page.
What does the sword do?
It is the weapon your own character swings. The tutorial has you buy a sword and attack enemies yourself, and the Swing branch of the upgrade tree (Swing Speed, Swing Damage, Flash Swing and others) improves those attacks. Your placed units fight on their own.
Where is the Blacksmith?
In the Plaza, next to the Traits stall. Press Plaza at the top of the screen and look for the sign that reads "Buy Powerful Weapons!". A red "New sword available at blacksmith!" message appears near the bottom of the screen when a new sword opens up.
