Defeat Anime RNG Beginner Guide: First Hour to Death Castle
1. The tutorial (about five minutes)
The Elf Mage walks you through the basics: roll your first unit and place it on a pad, roll again, buy an upgrade, buy a sword, attack enemies yourself, and finally head to the Plaza. In Berlian Kecil’s September 11 run it ends with his Gobu evolving into Gobu (Super). CHALLS had to finish it before he could get to the codes.
2. Spend your first coins on income
Open Upgrades from the left-side menu. CHALLS calls More Enemies, Spawn Rate and Unit Slots the best upgrades: more enemies and faster spawns mean more coins, and every unit slot is another unit on the field. Berlian Kecil keeps adding slots and notes that his money climbs much faster after each one. Roll speed and Luck come after. The upgrade tree lists every branch.
3. Buy zones in order
Each zone is bought from a board at the edge of your base. The costs are small at first and then jump:
| Zone | Cost | Rule |
|---|---|---|
| Fire City | 40 | Enemies move faster |
| Planek | 1K | Enemies regenerate HP |
| Hollowed World | 5K | Enemies can dodge attacks |
| Sand Island | 35K | Enemies protected by sand |
| Hage | 125K | Enemies move faster at lower HP |
| Death Castle | 450K | Enemies can revive |
The rest (Candy Island to Shibuya) are on the zones page.
4. Death Castle unlocks codes
The Codes box in the Shop only works once you own Death Castle. Redeem all eight working codes for 400 Trait Shards, then try the nine disputed older ones; if they still work you also get Luck Potions and the Chainsaw unit.
5. Traits on your best unit
Go to the Traits stall in the Plaza, pick the unit with the highest DPS number over its head, and roll. Mark Berserker and better with Auto Stop ON, the rest OFF, and use Auto roll. The odds are on the traits page: Instinct is 0.01%, Berserker 0.10%.
6. Sell what you do not use
The Units window has a yellow Sell button. ItzVexo recommends selling every unit you do not need so your inventory does not fill up.
7. First prestige at level 15
Bronze 1 needs level 15. Before you prestige, spend all your coins on upgrades, since they reset along with your zones. You come back in Wisteria with +10% luck and +10% gold, and each rank after that adds another 5%. See prestige.
Common mistakes
- Buying swords with the coins you need for Death Castle. The Death Scythe costs 500K, more than the zone.
- Spreading Trait Shards over every unit. Shards are limited, so put them on the units you plan to keep.
- Forgetting the free group luck: like the game and join the Defeat Anime Bosses group, as the game description asks.
